This month’s prompts are centered on weighty topics because zines have a rich history of exploring ideas that writers and artists couldn’t explore or weren’t allowed access to in traditional publications. These prompts are meant for you to create a zine each week exploring the prompt topic, but as always you can use the prompt to make a page in your art journal or sketchbook or write it out in your journal.
Women have had to struggle for rights throughout history.
Every right women have currently, many women before us worked hard to get.
Think of the women who came before you. Your mother, your aunts, your grandmothers, your great grandmothers.
Write out a thank you letter in zine form and add some of their faces by either drawing them or add photos.
