Junk Journal November is a creative challenge for UAC members to embrace the art of upcycling and self-expression throughout the month of November.
You can use everyday materials like old book pages, magazine clippings, scraps of fabric, and ephemera to make your journals into someone beautiful and meaningful from items that might otherwise be discarded.
Whether you're an experienced journal maker or just starting out, Junk Journal November is a chance to experiment with textures, colours, and themes, all while reducing waste and giving new life to forgotten materials.
It's a fun, eco-friendly way to celebrate creativity and mindfulness as the year winds down.
To help you along, we have created a series of prompts for each day of the month, but there is a twist. There are two prompts for each day. The first is a word - but not just any word - they are your words of the year (WOTY). We've searched and searched and found this list of popular WOTY.
The second corresponding prompt is an action to do or an object or item to use. A ‘what’ or a ‘how.’ And all of it is completely up to personal interpretation and imagination.
Here are the prompts:
As always, we love to see your beautiful artwork, so don't forget to share it with us on Instagram - @united_artists_collective.
