For the month of June we will be focusing on using watercolor in our art. We have chosen four key techniques for using watercolor and will be sharing short videos and demonstrations of them over the course of the month.
This week, Week 1, we are starting with the tools.
Misty has created this video to demonstrate the options you have for creating watercolor. And remember, you don't need to buy new supplies to get started with watercolour.
As you can see, there are plenty of options you can try:
Watercolor pans or tubes
Stabilo Woody pencils/crayons
Watercolor pencils
Neocolor II crayons
Art crayons
Felt tip markers (Tombow markers, Crayola markers)
Our challenge to you this week is to explore the watercolor tools you have at your disposal and create some backgrounds in your journals with them.
Have fun and we can't wait to see what you come up with.
Next week we will be exploring layering using watercolors. See you then.
